Deer Hill Publications has been publishing International Journal of Engineering Materials and Manufacture since 2016. It is an open access platform for students, academicians, research scientists and industrial partners to disseminate their research findings in the areas of engineering materials and manufacture. However, the deadly pandemic Covid-19 has affected every one’s life in one way or another. Deer Hill strived and maintained its scheduled publication and waived the article processing fees for two issues in 2020. In line with that now the publisher is bringing the researchers together online to share their research in a new normal Post-Covid world. This conference is scheduled to be held on 22-23 May 2021 with a theme “Innovation in Engineering Materials and Manufacture in a Post-Covid-19 World”.

As the accepted papers will be published in the International Journal of Engineering Materials and Manufacture, authors are to prepare their full papers conforming to the journal guidelines available at IJEMM Submission website. All papers will go through blind reviews and invitation letter will be issued to participants of accepted paper. At least one of the authors of accepted paper must register and present the paper during the conference. All accepted and presented papers will be published in Volume 6 (2021) with eISSN 0128-1852. IJEMM is indexed by EuroPub, SCIMATIC, Research Gate, DOAJ, ROAD, MYCITE, Crossref, and Google Scholar and it is associated with Publons of Clarivate Analytics. Hybrid Manufacturing: The Synergy of Additive and Subtractive Methods
Reginaldo Teixeira Coelho is a Full Professor at the Production Engineering Department at São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) – University of São Paulo (USP). He is PhD in Mechanical Engineering by The University of Birmingham School of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering – United Kingdom (1995), MSc. In Mechanical Engineering by USP (1991), and a Mechanical Engineer by USP (1987). He was a Visiting Professor at McMaster University – Canada (2005). Professor Coelho is a 1C level Researcher by the Brazilian National Council of Research (CNPq) and expert in Advanced Manufacturing processes, especially on Machining and Forming process, HSM, FEM, Metal-based Additive Manufacturing and is the key researcher, who has been leading Hybrid technology in Brazil. He is the current coordinator of the Laboratory for Advanced Process and Sustainability (LAPRAS), at the Nucleus for Advanced Manufacturing (NUMA) at EESC/USP, being co-founder of both LAPRAS and NUMA. His academical and technical contribution to the advances in manufacturing technologies has been shared through the over 200 papers published in journals, conferences, magazines and newspapers, four books, three book chapters and five patents. Professor Coelho has coordinated several research projects from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), raising more than US$ 2.5 million invested in manufacturing research and development. He is currently developing research in metal-based additive manufacturing and hybrid manufacturing, combining the technologies of Directed Energy Deposition (DED) and High-Speed Machining/Grinding (HSM/G).

Rapid Sintering of Engineering Ceramics using Microwave Method
Ramesh Singh is a Senior Professor of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) First Class (1994) and PhD in Advanced Materials (1997), both from the University of Sunderland, UK. He has received many accolades as a distinguished professor and have a strong proven track record in administration, teaching and research. He has served as an Associate Director with the Engineering Accreditation Department, Board of Engineers Malaysia from 2014 to 2018. He is serving in numerous capacities as consultant, external examiner, expert advisor, reviewer, editorial board members and visiting professor. Ramesh has published over 350 scientific papers, including nearly 240 peer-reviewed research papers and has completed the supervision of more than 80 postgraduate students. He has secured more than USD$ 5 million in research funding and consultancy. Ramesh is a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council UK, a Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia and a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. He is also a Fellow of five prominent professional societies including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK and the Institution of Engineers Australia.
